Abstract

Introduction: Gynandroblastoma (GA) represents an extremely rare subtype of sex-cord stromal ovarian tumor, which usually present with features of both estrogen and androgen excess depending on the type of cells in the tumor. Most of them are benign to low malignant potential, however when have heterologous components with predominantly primitive cell rests, high mitotic activity, type of tumor cells, tumor size, tumors with ruptured capsule behave aggressively. We present a rare case of sex cord stromal tumor (Gynandroblastoma) in a young female with predominantly granulosa cells on microscopy but the clinical features are of Sertoli Leydig cell component due to the increased testosterone from these cells.
